I was cleaning out the cabinet the other day and thought I'd snap a picture of what (most of) my spice collection looks like. What does yours look like?
Lots of similarities. I have the Old Bay, the Zatarain's cayenne pepper, the same hot paprika. I have a narrow cabinet devoted to ye olde spice collection and am hoping the new house has the same space.....
My spices are arranged in an old medicine cabinet with a mirrior...it makes me happy! contains spices my husband brought back from India, whole cardamom, curry, black mustard seed and of course old bay!
I'm very ummm...retentive about my pantry. All of my spices are in little plastic refillable containers (ala Penzey's) and are arranged in alphabetical order on these shelves that look like little bleachers (I think they're called expand-a-shelf) so you can see the labels of the spices in the back. Sadly, I have about 25 sq feet of spices in my pantry. Way more than the average person would need. But I've been cooking a long time...
