Normally I try to avoid buying food out of season, but these strawberries were too pretty (and too cheap-only $1.50 a pound) to pass up. When will Spring come to Baltimore?

Absolutely! I just bought asparagus the other day...though I suspect that they weren't grown in NYC...
When you live in such a cold climate where spring seems an eternity away still, we have to allow ourselves little indulgences. And imagine how much better it will all taste once we get the seasonal stuff!
Not for ages I hope, because that will mean that winter is on its way here ;) I'm not ready to let go of summer just yet :(
Seriously, I don't blame you for giving in to the strawberries. They are one of my favourite things.
Freddy the Turtle and I have been enjoying strawberries, too.
