Today, Starbucks rolls out their "skinny" line of drinks. Many of them have a fraction of the calories of their normal drinks: a skinny latte has only 90 calories vs. a 12-ounce white chocolate mocha latte made with whole milk and whipped cream, which has nearly 400 calories. Oy.
I always think ordering at Starbucks is fairly daunting. I think the standardizing of the "skinny" moniker will making ordering easier-it will be mean the same thing no matter what store you are in. It might cause some confusion in the meantime ("skinny" means nonfat milk and sugar-free) but I think once people get used to it, it will be easier.
