If you've been a reader of my blog for a while, you know of my deep and abiding loathing for plain water. I am always on the look out for water alternatives. I don't like drinks like Gatorade or Vitamin water and Fuze has those weird fake sugars. Then I found Owater. It cames in extrememly realistic fruit flavors (I swear you can taste the skin of the blueberry) and some more unusual flavors like coconut. Each 17 oz bottle of infused owater is only 70 calories, and it is made with real cane sugar, natural flavorings and no preservatives. Plus the infused waters boasts added nutrients and even caffine in one of the flavors. Regular Owater has zero calories, no sweeteners and real fruit flavor.

That's neat, especially if you live in an area with water that is safe, but tastes yucky. I just drink tap water myself.
i love this product...so many flavored drinks have too much sugar or fake sugar.
i love their black raspberry flavor.. it has the real fruit taste.. i used to water down gatorade...
so excited i found it...they sell it in shaws and stop and shop in Boston
i understand loathing water.... what I can't understand is all of these "natural" products promoting health and wellness that market the product in a plastic bottle that won't biodegrade.
Meghan.
Tom here.. founder of owater. Although plastic bottles have gotten a bad rap, the reality is that PET plastic is reusable and very recyclable. Unfortunately, consumers do not recycle enough. Our company does a great deal of work to promote recycling. Plastic is also much more energy efficient and transportation efficient that almost any other container (especially glass which is heavy and requires 18 times the energy to produce). Biodegradeable plastic is not yet a reality, but i believe that we are less than 5 years away. Unfortunately, right now biodegradeable plastic cracks and is not ready for commecial beverage use.
We care about the environment, we promote home purification of water instead of plain water bottles. However, we make a flavored, healthy alternative to sweet drinks and believe strongly in furthering the green movement in all packaged goods.
I guess that's why I recycle the bottles. It's hard to only drink tap water (and no juice, milk, soda etc) and every beverage comes in some sort of container that is not biodegrable.
Tom, thank you for posting this information! You've changed my mind about your product! :)
Love, love, love, Owater!!
